In just a few short days we have gone from 2 very fat momma
pigs to 12 pigs. As you may have read earlier that we had one of our momma’s
Agatha give birth to 4 babies. Three girls and one boy. Well, when I got off to
work this morning I got a message soon after telling me we have 6 more babies. This is a pig stock is up and running now.It amazes me that the first batch is out running and even eating the sweet feed their momma's leave in the pen. All in all I think we only have one boy in the whole bunch.
On another note we did get the other two hogs processed and
now have a freezer full of meat, but in that process the bottom hinge on the freezer
door broke and now we had to get it fixed. We have 70 pounds of sausage now so I
am glad I am a great biscuit maker and make a mean batch of gravy.
