Proper planning works well when it comes to renovation.
Since the initial tree disaster we have been working diligently to get things
closed up and get the house back into a livable situation. The new base floor
is down as well as the wall going up. Today the electrical is going into the wall. After careful consideration we have decided to
only put in a glass panel door going out to the deck and no window as that end
of the house gets far too much heat from the sun. I am going with a non-traditional
wall covering for the one long wall, tin and one short wall will get a rustic
wood wall where a bench and hooks will go. Paint will also be a major change as
we are going from grape to cream. We are also updating the ceiling light
fixture. Plumbing fixtures will be connected to the bathroom plumbing for the
washer and dryer. The pine board
flooring is being finished up and sanded down and re-coated with a lighter stain.
It will be a nice laundry/office space
when it is all complete.
