Downpours of Rain

The rain started late last night, but not before the marshmallow and graham crackers and candy bars came out and the fire was lit. It is so great to have my g kids here a visiting. We had a blast roasting marshmallows and having pop make up long forks from serving forks and duck tape and bits and pieces of an old couple of pieces of an old lawn umbrella. Great minds think on their feet, Recycle, Recycle, Recycle.

Now for today it has been raining all day. We were planning to take a trip to Savannah to go visit our son but being there wasn't anything that he could figure to do cheap or free and his work schedule didn't allow too much time so we decided not to go. One of the kids went to have a dinner date with her boyfriend and the other has opted to hang with us and play her game on the computer.

We can't let the day be a total washout though, Pop is going to go pick up a couple of IBC tanks to build a nice little chicken coop when it is not pouring down. I have wanted to have a few chickens here since we moved I so miss my farm. Gardening is great and all but it is not the same as having live animals to help feed you. We use more eggs than you would know especially when we make homemade ice cream every other night. Since we live in a nice little subdivision in the country but live at the very end of it all and have a wooded acreage between us and the rest of the street  chicken may be the only thing we can keep as farm life is concerned. I would give anything to have my goats again though. Using the IBC tanks will give me just the coop size and grazing area I need. Recycle is great!

The rain has come and gone but will be popping in again later in the afternoon through the evening So things need to get on the ball.

F Day- Family

                         Family
Feeling a warmth of happiness when family gets together.
Amazing memories can be made over the smallest of things.
Many great laughs leaving you in tears from laughing too hard.
I could only wish that my family was closer to me still.
Love my children and g children over the moon and back.
You can only imagine how much I miss them when we are apart.

My family is now spread far and wide and it is not often we all seem to get together. My (babies) twin son Matt lives in Savannah, his Josh lives in Ohio, my oldest daughter Bobbi is still close but still a drive away along with her sister Kelly. My youngest daughter Johnna lives just a stone’s throw away but we still don’t see each other as much as I would like to. It seems when the ones farthest away come home one of the others cannot make it. Pop and I would love to travel to see them but driving long distances just seems not to work for our old bones. The farm also limits us to how long we can go. Sometimes short visits can be made and Johnna and James help out
but we hate to impose. I hate highway trips too.

My son Josh is looking to buy a new house and I would love to see it and visit my g daughter. She is a real hoot. She is three now and smart as a whip. Matt wants to give us a tour of Savannah and area but we still haven’t made it there. We have made arrangements to go and something always comes up; like the clutch going out in my car or the check didn’t get here on the dates we could have. It kills me that we are so far apart. Bobbi seems to lead such a busy life and she is always making memories with her kids Kianne, Javante and Amara. Kelly Just had a new baby  Willow and I didn’t get to go see her because I had to work. Johnna is never home she has become a workaholic, which worries me because she seems not to spend time with my g girls SavAnna and Grace much.

I hate getting older and things seem so different these days. I want to still have all my kids home and still teaching them and all my g kids all the things in life my grandparents taught me. I think so much about them and yes we are all still close but in such a faraway way.  Technology helps but it is not the same as having them come home and raiding the fridge and eating meals together every day and just being close. I miss that so much. Now I just pray a lot for them all and hope for the best for them all. paradise is the only place we can all be together forever and I would be the happiest mom in the world if we all make it there.

Family means everything to me and always has I have fought hard to hold on to all of them from one moment in time to another and my heart has been broken too. I never want to be without my children no matter what we do. I love them all more that life itself. I want what is best for them all and never want them to have to not be close like my sisters and brothers. I have one sister I haven't seen or talked to since 1986 and It is the hardest thing in the world to deal with.  my other siblings  and I text but it is not the same, we were all so very close back then.  I miss them all very much but time changes us and things happen. I hope your family stays close .

Thankful

Hey guys,
As you all may know by my post that I am proud to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I have been studying for almost 30 years now and trying to do my part as a minister to send out the “Good News of the Coming New Earth and Heavenly Kingdom of HIS Son Christ Jesus.

Today I want to let you all know that I would have not been in the place I am today if I had not found the truth all those years ago. I am thankful to be alive and serving such a wonderful God as Jehovah. He has seen me through many hard times and giving me many happy memories of the past. I have been blessed with a wonderful family 3 girls and 2 boys, and soon to have the 7th grandchild arrive. I have a wonderful husband of almost 30 years and a roof over my head and a job, and a small farm, not to mention my health and wonderful friends in the truth. What more can I ask for?

I pray for my children every day that they too can find true happiness and serve alongside of Thomas and me one of these days. These are the things that make life good; family, one united in the truth and loving one another.  I would love to share my Godly Devotion with all of you in this time as we all see that this wicked system we are living in proves we are living in the last days as stated at Chapter 24 of Matthew. It is not too late to say you too will join the meek one of the earth (Ps 37:11).
Today and always I am thankful for all I have. I hope you also find this happiness in your life.

Expansions to the Farm

Summer break flew by way too fast. It has been a crazy time of it too. We have 11 new babies on the farm and 4 more mommas  due any day now. We have a boar for sale or trade for a different bloodline other than (American Guinea hogs) Cersi BPR Bloodline.

We have been working on 101 projects and one of them have not been the roof. my daughter and husband now reside on the farm and have become members of Earthsblessing Farm, along with their two daughters. We have been helping them settle in. They were married on July 27th and we wish them all great success and love in their new adventures.

School has brought me to a new position and it is one I truly love. I am privileged  and honored for this  spot. I new work with Severe students now.

I have been working on ponds and patios over the break and my garden is growing like crazy. We have a new kitten named Taz; he was a wild one from  out at the barn. He has become friends with Claire our indoor cat. They are holy terrors when they get running through the house. We have also added a few new chickens to the roost. We have a lot to be thankful for here on the farm. May we continue to grow and thrive as the years go past.

58 Sounds like a Great Year

This is my new office desk and set up

Well, here we are yet one more year has flown by. I can’t say if it has been good nor bad because both have balanced out each other. So much has changed yet so much stayed the same. We have not got much done on the house as we have been dealing with far more important things; family. It gives me great pleasure to know that we have all grown closer in these last days. We have one moving home with her family and that takes priority over other things. Sad though it may be for her and her family it will turn out to be a great blessing not only for her but for us. One has found love and one has found many yards to be mowed. One has her hands full raising her three.

Not much time left in my vacation away from school. Not looking forward to going back as I truly need to get more done here. Time will tell. Once all the dust settles and things slow down a bit I have plans for my future. In the meantime I have been studying the Bible with someone very excited to learn more and that brings me more joy than anyone can ever imagine. I try to keep up on my preaching and teaching as best as I can to serve the Most High and Mighty God ever; Jehovah. He has watched over all of us here on the hill and I am truly thankful.

My granddaughters and I have managed to enjoy each other’s company also. We have played games together and swimming most days when it don’t rain and even after the rain, (which we have had more than we thought we would). We have cooked together and baked all kinds of great goodies, some of which I should not even eat, but loved it all the more. Our farm is growing in ways I never thought to be possible. My garden is growing and the blueberries are finally ripening up.  We made a blueberry cheese cake, yum it was delish! We are expecting baby piglets in August and many at that, we even managed to have a few new baby chicks to add to the list and a few more cats.
My girls having fun in the sun.

So many things have changed, many for the best. We have truly been blessed here on our little hill out in the country. I thank Jehovah for all I have and for keeping a watch over all my kids near and far. Having us all together would be nice but most are too far and money sure don’t grow on trees. I just want them all to be happy and know I love them all over the moon and back. May the next year bring great joy for us all. 58 sounds like a good year to come. We will see!
