Aww are We Ready to Start 2020?

I am going to start off this year blogging A-Z. Are there any bloggers out there who would like to join me?

Aww are we ready to start 2020?

     Did you ever dream we would make it this far?

Looking back over the last several decades I bet not many of us figured we would even endure to this year. Just think about all the sci-fi stuff we read about when we were young. We couldn’t even see what we could be living in, but so much of it has come to pass long before we come to this point in our lives. The tech age has brought us out of the dark and into, well not sure it can be said it was light or not but it has been interesting. Did you ever think we would hold our computers in our hands let alone the phones we speak on? What about electric cars or cars that drive themselves? Something we might have seen on the Jetsons.

     Look at all the things we see on the telly about war and pollution of all sorts and death and destruction. The world has grown very small we see things that should never be seen publicly and our senses have been dulled down to numb. Who knew so many could be so insensitive? Sex, rape, child porn, people starving, killing one another and selling folks, which were so many things we were trying to abolish years ago, looks like it only will get worse.

     Our food have been poisoned and grown so quickly that it just doesn’t even taste real anymore. So many farmers have been put out of business or worse so many were being sued by Monsanto for stealing their seed. Wow I bet no one would have ever thought we would ever have that happen. Now the ground is saturated by their round up and causing cancer left and right. Some of us try to grow what little we can just to keep from it too but it is in our water ways only the earth can clean it up now and we may not even have the time to know how that works.

How about our children and schools? Can we really say they are learning more than we did when we were in school? What happened to all the skills of wood working, blacksmithing and metal works, sewing or baking just to make a short list? I don’t know about you but I want to step back in time just to have all that taught to my grandchildren again because these days all they know how to do is grow a phone to the heads and hands.

      I was raised in a time where I was taught how to raise a garden, sew, build things with my hands, and I choose to continue to do just that. I keep adding more skills through the years of things that my grandparents parents did. I farm and can food, make my own soap and crochet and sew. I can skin my own hogs and bake pies and make homemade noodles, things that I know how it is made and what goes into them. So many folk these days seem to think the grocery stores and department stores (which by the way are also being replaced by the internet) are where things come from. Most kids these days have never been to a real working farm and adults are squeamish if you tell them you wrung a chicken’s neck for dinner.

     How many read these day, I think not many because I see many kids in school struggle to get through one book and many say I don’t read because it is boring. Wow I have gone on so many trips without leaving the house with a book. Yeah and reading the Bible is taboo these days it is just a story and so many don’t even have a clue God’s purpose for us really is. All because they don’t want to take the time to dig into one of the best books anyone could every read.

     I know there are greater things in store for my life, yet I also know that times are and will get far worse than we see it now. I have a great hope for all things changing into something far greater that anyone has ever dreamed of. I have faith in a paradise in store for those who work hard and do as they are told by our grand creator. How wonderful things will be when we never have to deal with sickness and death of our loved ones, and war, hatred, hunger, disasters of all kinds. Pain, now that is one thing we are all dealing with; physically, mentally and spiritually. How many loved ones have we lost thinking that they are watching over us in heaven. Well not my loved ones, they are just where we have laid them in the ground waiting for the day when they will be called out by Jesus to reunite with those who have made it through all this crazy stuff we keep dealing with here in this ending of things. Yes, the things that were foretold, things that people just shake their heads to and think some folks are just crazy and it is just heresy. Well I hope I see you still standing there beside of me but I can’t say for sure.

     Aww yes, are you really ready for 2020? It is just that much closer to the last days. I will be prepared for what is to come will you. If you think you might need to read a bit you could be right. I could even share my reading with you, you may be pleasantly surprised at what you could learn. They say knowledge is everything but is the knowledge you hold going to save you? I hope so. Ring it in as they say and we will see what 2020 has in store. May we all enjoy it to the fullest and love one another.
